Nelson Burke Jr., who goes by the name of Juju, is the FLAGBOY of the RED HAWK HUNTERS of the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans, is joining our Mardi Gras Georgia Parade this weekend. The Red Hawk Hunters Tribe is part of the vibrant historic Mardi Gras Indian culture in New Orleans and is known for masking to honor Native American heritage. They participate in Mardi Gras, Super Sunday, and other community gatherings in New Orleans showcasing intricate, elaborate, meticulously hand-sewn beaded and feathered suits that often take a year to create.
